Orlando Birthday Vacation: Part Two

Picking up with part two of our Universal Studios vacation. If you missed part one, catch up here

As we were walking into the park, a lady stopped and asked if Zac and I were celebrating our honeymoon? We laughed and said no as she complimented our adorable Dr. Suess t-shirts. When we found out you could get your picture with Cat and the Hat and Lorax in Dr. Suess Land, we were so there! I was so excited to get our pictures with the characters, while we were in character.

We couldn't help but laugh after looking at our pictures from our Grinch photo session. Gotta love the Grinch! He kept playing with Zac's face as we tried to get a group photo. Too cute!

Zac says, "You sit over there, I'll sit over here. I got this." He picks up the two guns and is shooting targets. I was laughing when we got our picture. I'm so focused. I always bite my lip when I'm super focused. I'll be working on a blog post or doing homework on the computer and Zac will ask, "Do you notice how you bite your lip when you're focused?" Lol, yes.

The mummy ride was one of my favorites. Without ruining the experience for others, I'll just leave it at the ride will leave you very surprised. I was impressed with all the details you see along the course of the ride that contribute to the Mummy theme.

We stopped by Diagon Alley before we called it a day. Dragon Alley is inside Universal, opposed to Islands of Adventures were the new Harry Potter World is. Dragon Alley has an alley way filled with cute shops like ice cream shops, butterbeer bars, stuffed animal shops, toy shops, etc. I'm a sucker for cute shops and cute window displays. I loved all the character, color, and details inside Diagon Alley.

For lunch we ate at an Italian restaurant on the NYC block. I couldn't believe how huge one slice of pizza was. It really was like eating pizza in NYC. Zac had a plate of Fettucini Alfredo. Both meals were so delicious. It's hard to choose what to eat for lunch inside the parks when there's so many great options.

We can't wait for our next adventure! If you haven't been to Universal, definitely make a point to book your trip sooner rather than later.

Let me know if you have any questions when booking your trip.

  1. OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!! THis looks like soooo much fun. How is the Harry Potter exhibit, the last time I went they biggest thing was splash mountain and the new space mountain ride or something along those lines. So like 20 years haha.

One of Sophie's favorite books is Green Eggs and Ham, but oh my gosh is it long!!

This looks like so much fun, what a great way to bring in a birthday.

I think it's so funny that they get your picture now! Some of the looks on people's faces are hilarious. You look terrifed on that Mummy ride!
