Favorite Valentine's Day Ever!

I say this every week because I'm pretty sure this will continue to be how my weeks are for the next two months until spring semester ends, but wow this week has been so busy!

Had my first calculus test today. I pulled an all nighter last night trying to prepare for it. I think I did better than I expected, but we'll see. This is hands down my least favorite class I've ever taken. Ever.

Recap from my Valentine's Day weekend...

Left for Atlanta on Friday and Zac and I spent the weekend with my family.

My bestie and I did a double feature Friday night and saw The Choice and How to be Single. The Choice is my favorite Nicholas Sparks book so I had some petty big expectations. I didn't love the movie as much as I loved the book, only because in my head, I envisioned a different type of female lead. How to be Single though, was hilarious! So funny! I thought it would be one of those movies where the good parts were in the preview, but I was wrong. Definitely a must see!

We celebrated my birthday dinner early at Cheesecake Factory since Zac and I will be out of town at a surprise destination location on my birthday weekend, a week from this Friday.

While we were waiting for our table to become available at Cheesecake Factory, we put our name on the 2 hour wait list and went inside the mall to do some shopping. That's the plus of Cheesecake Factory being a new addition to the mall. I finally caved and decided to treat myself to some items that had been on my birthday list.

I ordered the Shrimp Scampi at Cheesecake factory. It was delicious! For dessert Zac and I shared a lemon meringue cheesecake. I was trying to be so good after being on Whole30 for two weeks, but who can pass up free Cheesecake Factory for your birthday?!

Sunday, I woke up to the smell of fresh flowers. The smell of the flowers lured me out of my dreams. I said to myself, "hmm...I smell flowers."

Or maybe it was the doughnut, lol, you never know! Either way, I wouldn't mind waking up to this combination of gifts more often. Flowers and doughnuts, oh yes!

Zac is such a good listener. I had told him a couple weeks ago that Dunkin Doughnuts was advertising a special for heart doughnuts on Valentine's day, and that we should get some. I didn't realize he was going to get up at 6am and sneak off to DD to grab roses and doughnuts! Too cute.

Sunday night, we went to Fogo De Chao to celebrate Valentine's Day as a family.

When we got home from a deliciously filling dinner, I walked in to this surprise.

Words can't even express just how lucky I feel to of found a man who really goes out of his way to express his love and appreciation for me. I've never had very great experiences with Valentine's Day in the past, so I had no expectations as to how this Valentine's Day would be different from the others.  My mom was filming me and asked if I had any advice for anyone on Valentine's Day and I said, "Yes! Just have the courage to love again".

P.S- He got me the Michael Kors bag I've had my eye on for over a year now!!! So in love (with him, the purse, the flowers, the doughnuts, and the whole she-bang)! He always goes above and beyond!

Hope everyone's having a great week!

  3. Whoa, what a huge surprise he had for you! That bag is gorgeous. Oh my gosh, someone blogged about those brownie batter donuts and I could cry that there isn't a DD in Oregon or Washington.

  5. I hated calculus both times I took it in highschool and college. And so far I've never used it once....so much for that one.

I have to check out the Choice, Nicholas Sparks always makes me cry though so this one probably will as well.

Love the roses he got you too! KYle got me roses as well such a surprise and so thoughtful. Incredibly sweet on Zac with the donut front! I love donuts. But most importantly what a romantic good man you found! Finding love again is tough especially if you've had a rough first love (not sure if you did), but when you find the one that you were meant to be with and someone who shows it everyday it means so much more! Happy belated Valentine's Day! You deserve the best!
