"Life is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gunna get".

When Zac and I found out that this infamous Forest Gump scene was filmed in downtown Savannah, we decided to make a day of it. We drove downtown and found that parking is free on holidays so we parked right by the park. We walked over to the infamous area and overheard a family talking bout the history of this spot. The two young boys start re-enacting a Forest Gump scene, "Jenayyyyyy", he yelled and took off running like he was Tom Hanks. We were dying laughing. Those kids were a riot.

We took our pictures and walked towards the street with all the stores. We went to "The Paris Market" which is one of my favorite little shops in Downtown. They have a cute Paris inspired cafe that offers coffee and macaroons. I had been craving those macaroons, so at $2.25 a piece, I limited myself to three. I tried vanilla, salted caramel, and lemon. They were all delicious!

I love spending the day walking around Savannah. Savannah is all about the details. The art, the history, and all of the little details are amazing. It's a cozy little city for sure.

For dinner we went to "The Chart House" on Riverstreet. That place was deliciously expensive, but worth every penny! Zac ordered their "Chart House Steak" and I ordered the "Spicy Ahi Tuna". The tuna was grilled and tasted like chicken. The sauce surrounding the tuna was a soy sauce mixed with wasabi. If you enjoy soy sauce and wasabi, then you'd love this dish.

After dinner we drove to Tybee Island thinking they were having a Labor Day fireworks show that night, but it turns out the show was the night before. We decided to go for a walk along the pitch black beach anyways. The sky was unusally cloudy, so the moonlight was hidden behind the dark clouds. We used the flashlights on our phones to see while we walked along the sandy shore. Within minutes of walking along the beach, my hair was poofy and wild. How do girls that live in costal areas maintain any sort of cute hairstyle with all that moisture in the air? They must stick to up-do's for the most part.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day weekend. Can you believe the cold air is just around the corner? Summer always flys by :(
